The Position

The Opportunity
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and create new departmental procedures while following Roche Quality system procedures.
- Provide senior technical advisory support on complex process or product issues.
- Act as a resource for complex technical issues and coordinate training programs.
- Possess a broad understanding of products and systems, ensuring customer requirements are met.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related field with 8 years of relevant technical experience.
- 2 years of leadership experience.
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
- Advanced knowledge of genomics and proficiency in tools such as BLAST, Bowtie, and Clustal.
- Proficiency in Bash, Python, and R, with system service and process configuration expertise.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and project management experience preferred.
Travel Requirements/Location Requirements
The employee will be located in Santa Clara, CA (with up to 2 days per week onsite).
Travel time: 25% both domestic and international, required.
