Position: Quality Control Associate Scientist
Overview
Responsible for testing of raw materials, bulks, components, and kits to ensure compliance with ISO9001 requirements and Standard Operating Procedures. This role involves performing various tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and training new team members.
Position Description
- Performs testing across all QIAGEN product lines
- Prepares and enters assay results for batch records
- Trains new employees and contributes to maintaining current documentation
- Works independently and collaboratively to troubleshoot assays under supervision
Position Requirements
- BS degree in molecular biology or related field
- Experience with DNA/RNA handling, PCR techniques, spectrophotometry, and standard computer skills
- Able to multitask, follow instructions, and deliver test results within defined timeframes
Personal Requirements
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25LB
- Comfortable working with biohazardous and/or chemically hazardous materials
- Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
