Research Technician Position
Duke University Pratt School of Engineering is looking for an exceptional candidate to join as a full-time Research Technician. The successful candidate will be involved in the design and performance of experiments focusing on the development of a wound-healing biomaterial in skin graft reconstruction and immunologic studies of tolerance following skin-transplantation.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to projects involving synthesis of biomaterials.
- Perform mouse surgeries and tissue sectioning.
- Conduct immunohistochemistry experiments.
Qualifications:
- Analytical, Laboratory, and Data Analysis skills.
- Experience in research and conducting experiments.
- Tissue Culture and mouse surgical skills.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Engineering or Biology
If you have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Engineering or Biology, and a successful history of handling projects with multiple moving parts, we encourage you to apply. Experience in a “wet lab” environment and histological processing of tissues will be advantageous.
