About the Company: SRG is currently seeking a Molecular Scientist to join a renowned Pet care company based in Leicestershire. The ideal candidate should be a biology or similar graduate with expertise in cell-based assays and molecular biology, specifically DNA extraction, cell culture, and PCR.

Job Title: Molecular Scientist
Location: Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire
Contract: 6-month FTC
Pay Rate: £13.08 p/h
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various laboratory methodologies and processes to generate high-quality data for research projects.
- Support the validation of new methodologies and assist with the development and troubleshooting of molecular biology techniques.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and provide training to other scientists.
- Communicate research data effectively to internal stakeholders and ensure project progress updates to the Principal Investigator.
- Contribute to written reports and scientific publications.
- Ensure compliance with quality management and health & safety requirements.
Candidate Requirements:
- Degree in biology or related scientific discipline.
- Knowledge and experience in techniques such as cell culture, cell-based assays, DNA extraction, and PCR.
- Prior experience in a laboratory or research environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
