About the Role
This role at UCB will involve supporting the development of gene therapy products, specifically recombinant Adeno-Associated Virus (rAAV), to cater to unmet medical needs. The Gene Therapy Quality Control Testing Scientist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of gene therapy products through analytical testing.
Main Objectives
- Perform in-process analytical experiments for AAV-based Gene Therapy Products
- Contribute to method validation and tech transfer
- Implement compendial assays for release and stability of therapeutic gene therapy programs
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll collaborate with Gregory Parvizi as your Manager and other talented colleagues across departments.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a variety of assays for in-process analytics
- Support process development teams with analytical methods
- Cross-train and provide assistance to various teams
- Maintain high-quality documentation
- Participate in troubleshooting and improvement efforts
Requirements
- Master’s degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience considered
- Experience in a regulated laboratory environment
- Hands-on experience with analytical methods in Biopharma Quality Control
- Proficiency in English and interpersonal communication skills
