The ACRF Translational Research Laboratory at the Victorian Comprehensive Cancer Centre is looking for a Research Technician to join the team. This part-time role (3 days per week) is fixed-term until February 2026. The successful candidate will work alongside clinicians and laboratory scientists to contribute to improving cancer treatment and care.
Your New Role:
- Work in a team focusing on translational and biomarker research, particularly in blood cancers.
- Process patient tissue and blood samples with technical expertise.
- Maintain databases of processed samples with attention to detail.
- Assist in laboratory experiments as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Biomedicine, Applied Science, or equivalent.
- Experience in Immunology, Haematology, and Oncology.
- Experience in a translational research environment.
- Strong project management and IT skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across various research institutions.
