Job Description Summary
The Research Assistant will provide technical support for federally and privately funded studies in Alan Yu’s lab, focusing on renal tubule physiology and diseases.

Job Duties
- Conduct experiments under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Mouse breeding, genotyping, small animal experimentation, and tissue collection.
- Perform basic molecular and cell biology techniques.
- Assist with lab organization and maintenance, including ordering supplies.
- Schedule maintenance and troubleshoot lab equipment.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field.
- Work Experience: One year of previous lab experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with recombinant plasmid DNA preparation, RT-PCR, immunoblotting, tissue culture, and immunohistochemistry.
- Skills in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel.
