The Scientist at Thermo Fisher Scientific is responsible for conducting complex analyses and developing and validating biological assays in support of drug development. This role offers the opportunity to work onsite at a pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical company while enjoying full-time benefits and growth opportunities.
A Day in the Life
- Developing, qualifying, and validating biological assays under supervision
- Performing routine sample testing support
- Maintaining routine cell culture and generating cell banks
Keys to Success
Education and Experience:
- BS degree in biology, biochemistry, pharmacology, immunology, or related field
- 2+ years of relevant experience OR an MS Degree in a related field
- Experience with cell culture, bioassay, and aseptic techniques
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in running and analyzing cell-based potency bioassays
- Strong technical writing skills and ability to influence
- Demonstrated scientific rigor and integrity
