About the Programme
The Skin Microbiome and Skin Health program is a collaborative initiative focused on studying the skin microbiome and its impact on overall skin health. As part of ASMP 2.0, this role will involve conducting research on skin-specific microbes and working towards developing strategies to enhance skin health.
Responsibility
- Conduct laboratory experiments on various skin-specific microbes
- Work with single and multi-species microbial communities
- Perform experiments with microbes, skin cells, and 3D models under co-culture conditions
- Collaborate with multiple project teams to support microbiology research needs
Requirements
About the Candidate
- Bachelors or Masters degree in microbiology, biochemistry, or related field
- Hands-on experience working with skin microbes
- Experience with biofilms and multi-species microbial communities
- Familiarity with mammalian cell cultures (preferred)
- Proficiency in fluorescent stains, confocal microscopy, DNA extraction, and sequencing
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and eager to learn new skills
