Responsibilities:
- Follow laboratory procedures for specimen handling, processing, and test analyses.
- Perform proficiency testing and documentation for all tests in accordance with standards.
- Adhere to quality control policies and document all activities.
- Act as a subject matter expert in areas of testing and support problem investigation.
- Coordinate work of other staff, assist with training, and perform various assigned responsibilities.
- Report accurate and timely test results and ensure quality patient care.
Requirements:
- Preferred BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science.
- 3 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing.
- Prior affiliation with OFNHP preferred.
- ASCP certification required.
- Familiarity with Laboratory information systems.
- Ability to work overtime or other shifts as needed.
- Knowledge of CLIA, JCAHO, CAP, and state regulations is a plus.
