Position Summary:
Department / Research Program: Endocrine Genetics Lab (CHHD)
General Duties
- Participates in laboratory projects and experiments
- Performs DNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and more
- Manages daily operations of the lab and equipment
- Manages inventory, waste disposal, and communicates with clinics
Education / Experience
Education: Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in a related field
Work Experience: 1-2 years
Required Skills
- Attention to detail
- Dexterity
- Understanding of lab machinery and computer programs
- Certification by the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (asset)
Additional Information
Status: Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education and experience
Work Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
