Job Description
To develop, evaluate, characterize, and validate protein purification processes for monoclonal antibodies and other recombinant proteins and support the transfer of these processes to pilot and GMP scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and design experiments for the development of downstream processes for therapeutic proteins
- Execution of high throughput chromatography methods
- Ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery of projects
- Record experimental details and results accurately
- Collate, analyze, and evaluate data
- Contribute to cross-functional project teams
- Prepare and deliver presentations, protocols, and reports
- Contribute to efficient laboratory operations
Key Requirements:
- BSc / PhD in Biotechnology or in a relevant scientific discipline and appropriate laboratory experience.
- Experience with Tecan Evo and/or Tecan Fluent programming
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of protein chemistry and purification
- Experience with AKTA chromatography and Unicorn software
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of GLP/GMP
- Experience with process transfer and scale up to cGMP manufacture
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Experience with process characterization and validation
- Operational excellence experience
