Job Overview:
As a Junior Microbiology Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of the Regional Microbiology Laboratory. This laboratory operates seven days a week, conducting analyses of raw materials, environmental samples, stability samples, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Physically receive and register samples within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- Perform quality and documentation checks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain meticulous documentation and records according to quality management system standards.
- Operate and maintain analytical laboratory equipment.
- Participate in inventory management and method validation processes.
- Prepare microbiological media and reagents.
- Conduct thorough cleaning and decontamination procedures.
- Carry out environmental monitoring activities.
- Adhere to all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biology/Microbiology or a related field.
- Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
- 0-1 year of experience in microbiological laboratories.
- Knowledge of standard laboratory routines and aseptic techniques.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
