Job Description
Illumina is the global leader in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology, driving innovation in genomics. We are currently seeking a Scientist to join our Molecular Sciences Group to develop future sequencing and library preparation biochemistries.
Position Summary
As a Scientist at Illumina, you will work on creating new sequencing methods as part of a diverse research team. Responsibilities include developing new sequencing chemistry, workflows, and analyzing biomolecules.
Responsibilities
- Perform experiments and troubleshoot issues
- Contribute to internal research projects
- Keep detailed records and prepare reports
Requirements
- Apply experiential knowledge to develop technology
- 2 years of relevant lab experience
- Collaborative and effective communication skills
Preferred Skills And Experience
- Experience in biochemical assays and protein characterization techniques
- Knowledge of molecular biology techniques
- Good communication and adaptability
Education
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, biochemistry, or life sciences; advanced degree accepted without experience.
