Position Summary:
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is hiring a skilled, driven, and ambitious Scientist III, Field Applications working at Bioprocess Design Center in Songdo-do. As a Field Application Scientist, you will have the chance to work with powerful technology and play a key role in advancing Thermo Fisher Scientific’s mission to deliver scientific innovation. This opportunity enables you to collaborate with a team of exceptional professionals on a global scale.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with customers on research projects to successfully implement innovative solutions.
- Write comprehensive study plans and detailed reports.
- Generate application data to support research initiatives.
- Perform batch, fed-batch, and perfusion culture for media/feed evaluation, process development, and scale-up studies using mammalian cells.
- Conduct flask, Ambr15, and benchtop bioreactor runs.
- Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
- Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure flawless operation.
Requirements:
- A master’s degree or Ph.D. in a life science-related field such as Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or Engineering. Equivalent experience in these fields will also be considered.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and proprietary information with sensitivity.
- Ability to interface effectively at all interpersonal levels.
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Korean.
- Strong drive to learn and expand skills.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft programs.
Experience:
- At least 12 years of experience in a biopharma company, specifically in roles related to cell line development and cell culture process development.
