Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative postdoctoral researcher to join our team at the Synthetic Biology for Clinical and Technological Innovation (SynCTI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the National Centre for Engineering Biology (NCEB).
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
As a Research Fellow (Synthetic Biology) at SynCTI/NCEB, your main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing biological parts, genetic circuits, or tools for engineering microorganisms
- Metabolically engineering microorganisms with high bioproduction capabilities
- Writing papers for publication in high-impact journals
- Mentoring research assistants, graduate, and undergraduate students
- Assisting in other duties as delegated
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Hold a PhD in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or related discipline
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in genetic parts assembly, pathway engineering, and more
- Ability to work independently and in a team with strong attention to detail
- Established record of international publications
