Position: Bioinformatics & Protein Engineering Intern (8-month Internship)

We are looking for a motivated and talented individual currently pursuing a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or Structural Biology to join our Protein Engineering team as an intern for an 8-month term. You will execute and implement workflows that will inform therapeutic development in two areas.
Job Responsibilities:
Genomics Surveillance of Viral Pathogens
- Develop bioinformatic tools to monitor viral evolution
- Identify potential escape variants
- Analyze genomic changes affecting pathogenicity and drug resistance
Protein and Antibody Engineering
- Develop antibody bioinformatics and in-silico protein engineering tools
- Evaluate antibody sequence diversity
- Optimize therapeutic development workflows
Key Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a PhD in Bioinformatics or related field
- Experience with bioinformatics tools for genome and evolutionary analyses
- Strong programming skills in Python or another language
- Self-motivated and collaborative team player
What we offer:
The hiring range for this role is CAD $4,600 – $5,200 per month. We prioritize scientific and technical mentorship, work-life synergy, and community-building activities for our employees.
