Are you an experienced ADME scientist eager to push the boundaries of drug research and development? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you at AstraZeneca! Join our dynamic DMPK & BBA department within the Cardiovascular, Renal, and Metabolism (CVRM) team at our vibrant R&D center in Gothenburg, Sweden.
CVRM is one of AstraZeneca’s three main therapeutic research areas, delivering candidate drugs into clinical development. Our DMPK team collaborates with various functions, supporting CVRM projects from target selection to launch and life cycle management.
Accountabilities:
As a Senior Scientist in vitro ADME at AstraZeneca, you will be accountable for:
- Acting as an expert in ADME, providing scientific advice to project teams.
- Designing, conducting, interpreting, and reporting in vitro ADME studies.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of DMPK scientific strategies.
- Communicating data and guidance to project representatives.
- Planning and reporting work to appropriate standards and keeping project teams informed.
- Publishing research and collaborating with external and internal partners.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Designing and conducting in vitro ADME studies.
- Applying state-of-the-art in vitro DMPK science.
- Working independently to contribute to experimental procedures.
- Staying updated on scientific and technological advancements in the field.
- Communicating data and guidance effectively to stakeholders.
Essential Skills/Experience:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- PhD or MSc with relevant experience in ADME.
- Background in Pharmacy, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in setting up in-vitro models of drug disposition.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate across boundaries with a focus on delivery.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
The following skills and experience are desirable:
- Experience in an industry environment.
- Knowledge in omics technologies and bioinformatics.
- Experience in bioanalytical techniques, such as LC-MS.
- Scientific leadership with a publication track record.
- Expertise in automation equipment and automated processing.
