Job Focus:
Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based medical function where 90% of their time allocated is spent in the field in the respective territory. The MSL provides scientific expertise, builds knowledge, and activity-based relationships with Key Opinion Leaders to advance medical practice and research. The MSL role acts as a critical interface with identified scientific leaders, building regional, national, or international relationships to contribute to understanding diseases, research, scientific trends, clinical practice, and treatment patterns in the relevant therapeutic areas.
Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide medical and scientific information to healthcare professionals in response to requests
- Develop and maintain medical and scientific partnerships with healthcare professionals
- Contribute geographical focus and customer insights to the development of medical plans
- Maintain cross-functional working relationships with Pfizer colleagues
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) in a relevant field with 1-2 years of industry experience
- Strong scientific and clinical knowledge in vaccinology and/or public health
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to interpret and present complex scientific data
- Experience in developing and maintaining professional relationships with healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as required (50% of time)
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
