Wave is seeking a highly motivated and resourceful student to join our clinical pharmacology team for a summer internship. This summer intern will gain cutting edge knowledge in pharmacometrics and will also have an opportunity to gain an understanding of the drug development process through interactions with drug development teams.
Responsibilities
- Search, explore and summarize literature
- Analyze in-house clinical and preclinical data
- Explore correlation of PK and PD
- Explore / suggest other ways to predict doses in humans based on animal data and /or publications
- Write study report
- Perform related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program (MS, PhD or PharmD) in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, pharmacometrics, bioinformatics or a related field
- Experience with PK/PD modeling and common modeling software is required
- Intermediate R programming skills are preferred
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Must be available to work for at least 10 weeks from mid June – August and must be available to work full time for the duration of the internship
