Eligibility Criteria:
To be considered for this you are required to have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology or a related field and industry experience with at least 5 years of demonstrated ability. Previous experience using aseptic technique, microbiological testing, using an autoclave, preparing media, identifying microbes, understanding USP and GMP is a must. Experience in drug product sterility testing, manufacturing in-process testing. Strong understanding of applicable USP, ICH, and Ph Eur regulations related to Microbial testing.

As an R&D Specialist, you will handle our microbiology studies within the Formulation Development Group. Responsibilities will include creation and execution of microbiological test methods for Regeneron’s toxicology and clinical programs, aseptic support for drug product pilot lab fill/finish operations.
A Typical Day in the Role of an R&D Research Specialist Might Look Like:
- Authoring studies/protocols for established R&D products and new products including microbiological special projects, challenge testing, stability testing, and other non-specified test validations.
- Implementing microbiological experimental studies in support of regulatory submissions
Maintaining a good project overview and understanding of business priorities foresees potential issues, and works proactively to provide solutions. - Assisting in the development of quality systems and SOPs for Microbiology programs in the Formulation department.
- Ensuring all routine and non-routine Microbiological work is always performed following good scientific practice and in accordance with written procedures.
- Running sample receipt and interpretation of microbiology data from both internal and external lab results
- Evaluates complex microbiological test data pertaining to product design
- Proactively identifies Innovation capabilities to support microbiological claims and visualization
