Job Description:

Assist our Company Global Industrial Hygiene (IH) Laboratory with processing and reporting of occupational exposure samples.

Projects May Include:

Assisting scientists with basic laboratory tasks such as:

• Sample preparation
• Instrument setup and clean up
• IH method validations
• Data entry
• Housekeeping tasks

In addition, other tasks may include:

• Organizing files
• Performing document reviews
• Performing literature searches and summaries for emerging analyses.
• Other administrative duties when reporting samples may also be required.

Required Education and Experience:

• Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Microbiology or another related degree.
• Candidates must have completed at least 2 years of college coursework
• Candidates must be able to work full time for a period of 9-12 weeks
• Candidates must have the critical thinking, communication, problem-solving and computer skills
• Candidates must have the ability to receive verbal or written direction and implement corresponding changes
• Candidates must have experience with the Microsoft Office suite of programs

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Candidates should have the ability to communicate ideas and explain decisions in a clear and understandable manner.
• Candidates should have the ability to work in a small team
• Candidates should have analytical instrument operation
• Candidates should have a college chemistry course in quantitative analysis
