Qualifications
They are looking for someone with a Bachelor’s or Master degree in the field of: (add degree)
Technical Mastery – Strong understanding of both chemistry and biology is required (BS/MS in chemistry or life sciences discipline, with experience in the other), including mastery of laboratory techniques, data collection, and interpretation. The successful candidate will have knowledge and experience in product formulation as well as rapid prototyping to quickly test technology ideas.
Technical Leadership – The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design and execution of technical learning plans in support of the project direction and strategies. Capable of determining priorities, defining the work, and delivering against the business and R&D/project/program objectives.
Grows Capability – The successful candidate will be responsible for growing and developing disruptive technology platforms. Identifying the best suited instrumental measures, development of elegant methodologies and technical models, and coaching and technical growth within the group is crucial. Experience managing technology transitions from upstream to downstream is critical. Effectively coaching and partnering with others in a diverse and inclusive learning culture is required.

Ability to use external university and supplier relationships as well as the scientific, technical, and patent literature to develop the technology and formulation options. The ability to develop transformative technology solutions relative to incumbent internal and external technologies and products is essential.

The successful candidate will develop and leverage technical mastery in both chemistry and biology to deliver disruptive technologies and holistic product propositions. This role will also require effective partnership across the functions of R&D to develop and deliver holistic product propositions utilizing your innovations. Specific responsibilities include:
- Design and execute detailed technical learning plans and work in concert with platform team members to ensure coherent and focused progress against well-defined technical goals.
- Regularly assess technology leads and make recommendations on whether to transfer to the business, continue further development, or discontinue the further activity.
- Contribute to creative and robust IP strategies to protect emerging inventions.
- Integrate technical mastery with in-lab experimentation and learning to co-create and deliver holistic product propositions with internal partners.
