Education level: recently graduated and/or within 2 years of graduation requirement (for all degree areas including BS, MS, and PhD).
Objectives: One major stopgap in decision-making is the length of time needed to analyze flow data. With assistance to complete this task, this will free up time for clinical biomarker strategy development and analyses. In this project, the intern will analyze preclinical data used to inform novel clinical combination strategy decisions for the MM Cross-Platform Combination Study.
Our department Development Sciences’ core mission is to translate scientific insights in drug development to deliver the right drug at the right dose to the right patient.
Oncology Biomarker Development, OBD, falls under Development Sciences.
OBD TRANSLATES ITS UNDERSTANDING OF CANCER BIOLOGY TO DEVELOP PERSONALIZED THERAPIES AND DIAGNOSTICS TO TRANSFORM CLINICAL PRACTICE. Our mission is supported by 4 key focus areas of scientific excellence driving personalized care for patients.
Qualifications
- Interested in higher complexity flow cytometry panel design, development, and compensation
- Experience in flow cytometry analyses (ex. hierarchical gating), and analysis platforms (FlowJo, etc..)
- Some immunology preferred
- Experience in, or desire to learn, computational languages such as R or Python in the context of cytometry informatics
Role:
- Support biomarker scientist with a) data analyses and b) interpretation of pre-clinical flow data acquired at CRO/collaborator
- Upon mastery, execute analyses independently
- Report data
- Preferred: Assist with non-competitive Antibody clone testing and identification (lab-based/onsite)
