Job Purpose/Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Interns will be placed within a functional area related to their program of study and will support the team with daily operations and initiatives. This is a paid program and will run full time for 12 weeks beginning in May. Our interns will have an opportunity to:

Qualifications
- You must be an upperclassman (Junior or Senior) of an accredited College or University, working towards your bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
2022 Desired Majors:
Internship opportunities are for Summer 2022 and are available in the following departments:
- Agriculture – This internship is focused on the farming division, where you will assist with day-to-day agronomic activities and research supporting production of vegetables and herbs for processing. Preferred Majors: Agriculture, Agribusiness
- Marketing – Work alongside the creative team and marketing directors and managers to support the team in the various aspects of the department. You will be responsible for learning about the VDF and FC brands, products, and services and helping to create marketing materials including customer presentations, social media content, eblasts, analyze industry trends and research, and participate in creative development of promotional materials and other brand initiatives. You will assist with industry trade shows and events, and work alongside the marketing team to gain valuable insights and experience about marketing communications. Preferred Majors: Marketing, Advertising, Communications
- Operations Training – Focus will be technical writing of Functional Training for the Operations team. Preferred Majors: Business, Education
- Quality – Assist in the Quality Lab. The lab is a quality assurance lab that is responsible for physical and microbiological testing of VDF products. Preferred Majors: Science
- Product Development/Food Science – Gain functional understanding of Van Drunen Farms process technologies and demonstrate practical application of this process knowledge. Will demonstrate proficiency in evaluation of Van Drunen Farms ingredients and functional performance in customer application. Preferred Majors: Food Science
