Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Food Science, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related role. Prior experience must include four (4) years of experience with:
- product formulation and process development on snacks and ready-to-eat meals within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) Industry, and working in a laboratory, pilot plant, and manufacturing scale environments for the development of snacks and ready-to-eat meals and its specifications; and
- three (3) years of experience with Project management experience with global CPG market impact and working with multifunctional partners; advancing technical projects in the CPG industry by leveraging internal and external subject matter experts, and assessing project scope and risks, and incorporating business needs within finance, marketing, and supply chain into technical decisions and recommendations to deliver feasible and viable solutions for snacks and ready-to-eat meals.
- International and domestic travel is required 30% of the time.
Duties:
- Use scientific methods and tools, such as physical and chemical analysis, data analysis, market landscape, consumer learning, food chemistry and science, and chemical engineering to create business opportunities that support the company’s strategic market objectives for snacks and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) Meals.
- Provide technical and business risk assessment, perspectives, and recommendations related to new product development and its design to meet consumer needs or save cost. Design and execute experiments and analyze and interpret data to make sound technical recommendations on product and process issues impacting the development and production of snacks and RTE Meals.
- Lead the innovation and development of new technology to maintain and grow the PepsiCo business on the snacks and RTE meal or side category. Leverage external and internal experts in the foods consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry for key analytical and sensory research that will enable and influence decision-making to impact business strategy and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional business development teams comprised of individuals from a variety of disciplines, including Marketing, Purchasing, Engineering and other groups to deliver projects in time that are feasible and viable, answering consumer needs. Participate in quality and product improvement and productivity initiatives to ensure product design is delivered to meet consumer needs and brand objectives.
