Eligibility Criteria:
- University degree in a technical discipline or general sciences. Preferred: Biology, Engineering, Supply Chain, Microbiology, or Chemistry
- Applied knowledge of GMP, HACCP, ISO 22716, Allergen Management, Food Safety, FSSC 22000, FDA 21 CFR 210/211, etc
- Preferred 3 years of experience in Supply Chain Quality or R&D, additional experience in Manufacturing a plus.
- An affinity for change management and digital solutions
- Demonstrated leader of functional working teams
- Proven effective in collaboration and communication
- Basic proficiency in MS tools (Excel, Power BI, PPT) and UL Business Systems (SAP, PLM)
Working knowledge of Finance to identify Business Waste opportunities - Solid understanding of the Innovation Process from ideation to launch. Familiarity with current tools a plus (Innoflex, IPM).
What You’ll Do
- A quality representative for Innovation projects to drive compliance, growth, and consumer love.
- Collaborates with R&D and others in Supply Chain to enable key workstreams driving our business growth
- Utilize and advance our Innovation Tools to drive risk management.
- Partners with Unilever Sites and Collaborative Manufacturers to ensure compliance to relevant Unilever and Regulatory standards
- Provides Quality updates to Categories to key stakeholders
- Provides technical expertise (SME) to support risk identification and mitigation strategies for OTIF delivery.
- Quality for Distribution – support in the development of products
- Drives continuous improvements through innovation.
- Leads sprint teams to quickly address and resolve Quality issues in both systems and processes.
- Support the Quality Management System improvement process for the most relevant topics including SAP-QM and QualityOne (Veeva).
Background & Purpose of the Job
The Innovation Quality Specialist role is part of the North America Quality Team. The main purpose of the role is to drive the highest quality standards through the innovation process by utilizing risk-based tools and techniques. The role will be focused on unlocking value by looking at a broad range of innovation projects and deciding where, when and how to address the high-risk elements within the project team. The incumbent will also help develop tools and digital solutions to optimize resources and stakeholder updates.
