Eligibility Criteria:
- B.S. degree in chemical engineering, life sciences or related disciplines
- A minimum of 1-3 years total work experience with at least some relevant experience in the healthcare/ biotech/ pharmaceutical industry
- Experience in cell biology, microbiology or related field and basic understanding of protein purification and stability
- Experience in a testing environment and knowledge of protein chemistry and analytical methods such as HPLC, CE, including GLP/GMP knowledge is desirable, but not required
- Evidence of strong verbal and written communications skills is essential for the position; this hire is expected to set up and run formulation studies. Presentation in teams will be part of this role, as well as at department meetings.
- Preferred individuals will embody a passion for analytical chemistry, protein chemistry, and pharmaceutical development.
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
- General knowledge of formulation and drug product process development is desirable.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Conducts research and development activities to support either pipeline or research projects within the Pharmaceutical Development function.
- Executes lab experiments and lab maintenance activities.
- Able to apply analytical skills and judgment in assessing the quality of assay data and assay performance.
- Applies Engineering/Scientific/GMP theories, principles & techniques to solve problems.
- Uses Lean Product System elements and Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver project goals and objectives.
- Primary responsibilities will include running formulation studies including stability studies to preparation of study materials for preclinical studies.
The successful candidate will work with dynamic and highly motivated teams to develop formulations for large molecules in our portfolio that treat unmet medical needs. Also, the candidate will work in a formulation research and development lab and collaborate with colleagues throughout the department. This position requires effective participation in a team environment. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the research and development of novel formulations to enable best-in-class and first choice therapeutics by clinicians.
