Sanofi BSc/MSc Life Science The Quality Control department supports the Seprafilm (medical device) and Sodium Hyaluronate (active pharmaceutical ingredient) GMP operations at the 74/76 NYA Manufacturing Facility. The department performs analytical testing on intermediate, in-process and final product materials using a variety of equipment to include GC, FTIR, UV VIS, and physical property instrumentation.

Position Overview with Key Responsibilities:
Position Summary
Supports Biosurgery APU (Autonomous Production Unit) by performing in-process, stability and release testing for Biosurgery Product lines.
Core Responsibilities:
Review of QC Data for compliance to procedures and specifications.
Perform maintenance on basic to complex laboratory equipment.
Calculate and evaluate results.
Participate in training of less experienced staff.
Author protocols and technical reports related to the implementation of QC equipment.
Effectively demonstrate an understanding of cGMPs and application to specific responsibilities:
Follow accurate written procedures for testing of in-process and final product samples.
Communicate inter-departmentally and with outside contacts to solve technical issues.
Exercise sound judgment and decision making when problem solving.
Revise standard operating procedures as needed.
Work independently under general supervision and direction.
Work in compliance with cGMPs.
Practice safe work habits and adhere to Sanofi’s safety procedures and guidelines.
Basic Qualifications:
One of the following:
Bachelor’s Degree with 2 Years experience or a Master’s degree in Life Sciences and 1 year experience cGMP Lab environment.
Proficient in Outlook and Microsoft Word and Excel and lab-based data management systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with GC, HPLC, UV Vis Spectroscopy, FTIR. Atomic Absorption and wet Chemistry.
Experience with Empower software.
Knowledge of lab-based data management systems Experience in laboratory techniques such as: pH, GC, UV/VIS and FTIR.
