Position : Wetland Scientist
Location : Seattle, Washington
Salary : $75,000-$95,000 annually
Type : Full-time, in-office with benefits and flexibility for a hybrid schedule
Responsibilities:
- Manage a variety of projects, including wetland delineations, permitting, mitigation design, wetland planning, natural resource planning, shoreline restoration, NEPA documentation, and ESA compliance.
- Represent the Natural Resources group to clients and collaborate with senior project managers, market sector managers, and client managers.
- Ensure successful project scoping, budget development, and implementation from start to finish.
- Support the Natural Resources practice within PBS, serving clients in the transportation, facilities, education, port, and energy sectors.
- Identify new opportunities through PBS’s client base.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Bachelor of Science in Biology or related discipline
- Certification as a Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) or Wetland Professional in Training (WPIT)
- Experience developing and implementing successful client-focused marketing plans
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent leadership skills
- Experience working on a multi-disciplinary project team
- Valid Driver’s License
Desirable:
- Experience in a client-facing role
- Knowledge of the regulatory framework associated with regulations, permitting, and compliance
- Experience working on local, state, and federal transportation projects
