Job Posting: Assistant Supervisor, Animal Behaviour and Programmes
Location: Singapore Zoo
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Function as Overall-In-Charge in the absence of Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Work directly with staff in daily operations to ensure the highest level of animal welfare.
- Oversee daily deployments, staff attendance records, and briefings for daily activities and shows.
- Promote teamwork and respectful communication among staff.
- Ensure maintenance of safe, clean enclosures for the animals.
- Coordinate and implement improvements to enclosures and facilities.
- Provide oversight of staff duties, training, and enrichment activities.
- Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in animal presentations and guest interactive programs.
- Conduct training sessions and support staff training programs.
Requirements:
- Diploma/Degree, preferably in Life Sciences or the equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of animal care, training, or show management experience.
- Ability to manage animals, identify health or behavioral problems, and develop solutions.
- Strong people management skills.
