Job Description:

At GSK Vaccines, we are seeking a motivated Associate Scientist with expertise in Cell Biology and In Vitro Models to contribute to our innovative projects aimed at developing transformative vaccines. This role will involve working in a collaborative environment to advance various vaccine candidates through preclinical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in vitro assays to measure cellular responses
  • Optimize cell culture conditions for primary cells and complex models
  • Analyze and interpret experimental results
  • Contribute data for scientific publications and patent filings
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with 2+ years of laboratory experience OR master’s degree with 0+ years’ experience
  • Experience with primary cells, tissue culture, and biological samples
  • Familiarity with ligand-binding assays, flow cytometry, and molecular biology techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with mRNA transfection, RT-PCR, and viruses
  • Knowledge of assay qualification
  • Fluency in English

To be successful in the role, this person must:

  • Demonstrate practical knowledge in cell biology and immunology techniques
  • Show willingness to spend significant time in the research laboratory
  • Be effective in handling multiple projects simultaneously
