About the Job:
Department Description: The position is situated within the Mechanistic & Predictive Safety (MPS) team, part of the Preclinical Safety department of Biomedical Research. MPS plays a crucial role in advancing safe drug development by providing mechanistic insights, human relevance evaluations, and toxicity predictions for drug candidates.
About the Role:
- Apply multiplexed targeted metabolomics methods by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to monitor metabolic pathways and biomarkers in biological samples.
- Conduct biochemical and enzymatic assays to investigate toxicity mechanisms.
- Manage study timelines, ensure data accuracy, and communicate results to cross-functional teams.
Role Requirements:
- BSc or MSc in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry, or related field.
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience or completed apprenticeship as a laboratory technician.
- Strong hands-on experience in liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry and biochemistry knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills in English, proficiency in German or French is beneficial.
