Reporting to a District Manager-Food & Beverage Division the Associate District Manager is accountable for assisting the District Manager in the achievement of the district sales and expense budget through the recruitment, hiring, training, motivation, and direction of account managers.
The ideal candidate should live in the Seattle, WA or Portland, OR area.
Main Responsibilities:
This position will have responsibility for managing and developing 2-5 account managers.
Management Responsibilities:

- Identify/prioritize new business prospects.
- Design/implement a plan that ensures account managers are prospecting with a plan and at a level designed to meet territory and district growth objectives.
- Provide the leadership/drive for the successful introduction of new value-added products/programs and the accountability to ensure budgeted goals are met.
- Organize and help deliver the required resources to aid account managers, QMC’s and sales developers in accomplishing their service and sales growth objectives.
- Develop and recommend an annual sales and operating budget.
- Operate the region within policies and procedures established by the Ecolab Food & Beverage Division.
- Run vacant territories until Account Manager is hired and trained.
- Help with QMC functions in troubleshooting, start-ups and installations.
- Develop strategic work plans for completing sales and service calls with new and existing customers
- Communicate effectively with all levels of plant staff; build strong business relationships and networks
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations on Ecolab’s innovative products, equipment and services
Minimum Requirements:
Ecolab Food Science Job
- BS/BA degree in dairy, food or agricultural science, engineering, chemistry, biology or related field
- Successful field sales experience (3-5 years). 2 years’ experience in food, beverage or dairy processing/manufacturing industries
