Job Opening: Microbiologist II
Job Details: Part of the Quality Control department, the Microbiologist II evaluates raw materials, supplies, and finished products to ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and support safe and effective product release.
Position Purpose
The Microbiologist II plays a key role in conducting microbiological testing, analysis, and ensuring data integrity by internal procedures and methods.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
Testing & Analysis
- Conduct routine testing on various materials and products
- Perform method suitability testing and analysis
- Sampling and testing of water, air, and surfaces
- Basic identification of microorganisms
- Preparation of media for testing
- Quality control procedures
Qualifications
Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related science.
Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years in a pharmaceutical microbiology environment.
Skills/Abilities: Proficiency in English, knowledge of cGMP and FDA regulations, traditional microbiology techniques, and more.
Salary Range
$60,000 – $70,000 annually
