Description:
We are seeking a Microbiologist to perform a variety of microbiological analyses on food, water, and environmental samples using cultural and rapid methodologies. The successful candidate will work diligently to identify pathogens, spoilage organisms, and indicators to ensure the safety of our clients’ products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform microbiological analyses using cultural and rapid methodologies.
- Maintain adherence to laboratory protocols and quality assurance programs.
- Interact with clients to communicate results and address inquiries.
- Support process improvements for enhanced accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to inventory management, quality control, and budget-related activities.
- Provide assistance with laboratory maintenance and equipment calibration.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or related field.
- Hands-on laboratory experience with sterile technique and culture maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus).
- Time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends and travel occasionally.
