Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and creative scientist to join the AbbVie Biotherapeutics and Genetic Medicine organization to support AbbVie’s collaboration with Calico Life Sciences on aging and age-related diseases. The successful candidate will be part of an innovative and fast-paced team developing biochemical and cellular functional assays focusing on metabolic diseases and aging biology.
Responsibilities
- Support the early development of therapeutics for age-related diseases
- Design, develop, and execute in vitro assays
- Perform biological and biochemical assays
- Collaborate with project teams
- Analyze and interpret data
- Engage in scientific discussions and presentations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field
- 5-7 years of experience (BS) or 2-5 years of experience (MS)
- Strong research background in immunology, molecular and cell biology
- Proficient in basic cell and molecular biology techniques
- Hands-on experience with cellular techniques and assay development
- Experience with various readout technologies
