About the Job:
This is a testing Scientist position working in the Environmental Microbiology section of the Public Health Lab. The ideal candidate will have experience in PCR testing and possess the necessary educational background in Biology and Chemistry.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical methods of moderate to high complexity
- Prepare and check specimens, solutions, reagents, and materials for tests
- Communicate status of tasks to supervisors and peers
- Monitor test processes for adherence to quality control standards
- Perform preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment
Requirements:
- College transcripts showing 16 hours Biology course, 16 hours Chemistry Courses, 3 hours Pre-science Math, and 12 hours of Specific Biology
- PCR testing experience preferred
