Overview
We are seeking an exceptional, self-motivated scientist with expertise in metabolic diseases to join our Discovery Screening Department in the Discovery Biology China (DBC) unit. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and validating novel therapeutic targets for chronic metabolic diseases.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate in vitro cell-based assays related to metabolic diseases.
- Lead collaborative efforts to validate targets for the treatment of metabolic diseases.
- Oversee and improve infrastructure for target identification and validation.
- Contribute to global R&D projects and pipeline.
- Establish collaborations with external partners.
- Develop innovative technologies to address unmet medical needs.
Qualifications
- PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, or related disciplines.
- Deep understanding of molecular/cellular basis of obesity and T2D.
- Experience in developing monocellular and multicellular cell cultures.
- Proficiency with gene perturbation tools like CRISPR-Cas9 and RNAi screens.
- Experience in multi-omics data analysis and interpretation is a plus.
- Knowledge of preventative and therapeutic developmental landscapes for metabolic diseases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Excellent English communication skills.
