Elibgility Criteria:
- Requires a B.A. or B.S. in one of the following disciplines: chemistry, biology, forensic science, toxicology, clinical chemistry, or a relatable life science
- Requires at least 2 years of GC/MS or LC-MS/MS experience including review of analytical data and Quality Control; 2-6 years of toxicology experience in a laboratory performing prescription drug monitoring or in a SAMHSA certified laboratory is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Review of GC/MS and LC/MS-MS analysis data to ensure clinical acceptability
- Identify and resolve quality control issues
- Accurately enter and report test results
- Remain current on lab standard operating procedures.
The Occupational Testing Services division of Labcorp is seeking a Certifying Scientist to join their team in Houston, TX! This is a critical role to the laboratory. The Occupational Testing Services (OTS) Division of Labcorp has a high volume of patient service centers and contracted collection sites, and can provide any company with their forensic drug or wellness testing needs.
The Certifying Scientist is responsible for certifying drug test results. This position performs certification review of all initial and confirmation data including verification of all chain of custody documents, quality controls, and calibrations. The Certifying Scientist ensures the initial technical review is complete and accurate.
