Job role:
The Associate Production Scientist at MilliporeSigma will play a key role in manufacturing and evaluating chemical products, providing technical support, and ensuring the safety and quality of the manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing operations to meet quality expectations throughout the manufacturing process
- Completing routine assays, processes, and unit operations
- Contributing to support functions of the lab
- Participating in quality audits
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement
Physical Attributes:
While in this role, you will work with open chemicals, wear appropriate PPE, and be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other life science discipline OR High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of chemistry, mathematics, and general science
- Chemical production experience on the glassware scale
- Experience with laboratory instruments and production equipment
- Strong communication and computer skills
Shift/Hours: 12-hour night shift, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM – 2/2/3 schedule
