Job Description
Lonza is looking for a Quality Control Specialist II to join our QC Laboratory team. Specialist II will be responsible for performing various functions related to mammalian cell culture-based assays and ensuring product quality through routine testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing cell culture-based assays to support QC testing of biologics
- Conducting cell viability, cell counting, and relevant tests
- Providing QC representation to project/product team meetings
- Supporting stability programs and routine testing of mammalian cell culture systems
- Assisting with QC procurement, setup, and validation activities for new equipment
Key Requirements:
- M.S. / B.S. in Life Sciences with emphasis in cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, or biochemistry
- Proficiency with cell-based assays, media preparation, and cell banking
- Experience with method validation and technology transfer required
- Demonstrated experience in the management of complex tasks and projects
The full-time base annual salary for this position is expected to range between $89,100.00 and $103,950.00. Lonza offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental coverage, a 401k plan, paid time off (PTO), and more.
