Position: Microbiology Lab Tech – Food
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Job Type: Contract
Work Hours: 9 to 5
Education: Bachelors Degree
Job Responsibilities:
- Carry out approved microbiological techniques and methodologies
- Prepare samples and perform analytical and microbial testing of food products
- Apply an aseptic technique in all work conducted
- Document sample preparation and testing activities
- Analyze samples for pathogens, indicator organisms, probiotics, and other microbes
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or any Life Science degree
- Knowledge of aseptic technique
Preferred:
- 1+ years of laboratory experience in food testing analytical laboratory
- Knowledge of ISO 17025 or GLPs
