Job Details

• Location: Golden Valley, MN
• Hours/Schedule: Mon-Fri 7-3 / 8-4
• Type: Contract

Responsibilities

• Facilitate analytical testing for Medallion
• Provide support and flexibility related to the analysis of samples for Medallion Labs
• Document results and review data
• Investigate any technical discrepancies on a timely basis
• Develop a strong knowledge of the analytical methods being used to analyze samples

Requirements

• 1-3 Years of Experience at a Microbiological lab
• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiologic or related field – REQUIRED
• Knowledge of microbiological plating techniques
• Basic lab skills including aseptic technique, pipetting, and serial dilutions
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems, statistics, and document control. ISO 17025 experience preferred
• Ability to manually calculate analytical test results
• Demonstrated ability to work and communicate with people from technical, production, and other backgrounds
• Strong knowledge and background of analytical instrumentation including PCR methods
• Able to coordinate multiple tasks effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; PC skills: proficient with Word, Excel, etc.
