About the Role:
As a Microbiology Lab Technician at Ferrero Canada, you will conduct microbial analysis of raw materials, in-process, and finished products to evaluate quality and ensure the safety of food products entering the marketplace.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Microbiology Lab Technician, your main responsibilities will include:
- Performing microbial analysis of raw ingredients, in-process, and finished products.
- Ensuring compliance with safety policies, GMP/GLP, SOPs, and company standards.
- Preparing, sterilizing, and sanitizing equipment for testing.
- Providing technical support to departments for continuous quality improvement.
- Participating in analytical investigations and audits.
- Assisting in providing training for production staff.
Who we are looking for:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- B.S. in biology, microbiology, food science, or related field.
- 1-3 years of industry experience in a microbiology laboratory.
- Knowledge of microbiology, environmental monitoring, aseptic technique, and related practices.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and computer proficiency.
- Experience with SAP is an asset.
