Position Overview
The Microbiology IV will be responsible for the QC microbiological aspects of cGMP compliance and testing at the FUJIFILM Biotechnologies Diosynth Texas (FDBT) Quality Control Laboratory. This pivotal role offers opportunities for career growth, either as a Microbiologist IV or Lead within the team.

Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the QC microbiological aspects of cGMP compliance and testing.
- Write verification protocols and summary reports for finished products.
- Perform environmental risk assessments for cleanroom qualification.
- Serve as an SME for utility, environmental, and material monitoring.
- Manage training and onboarding of new staff members.
- Assist in root cause analysis and provide technical advice.
- Perform cost analysis for methods and monthly metrics.
- Lead investigations and review alert/action limit investigations.
- Develop/review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and cGMP documentation.
- Manage laboratory schedules, equipment calibrations, and inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related field with 4+ years of experience; OR
- Associate of Science with 5+ years of experience.
- 2+ years in a GMP environment.
- Strong aseptic technique and industry best practices knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot assays and follow safety procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and communication abilities.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged standing, bending, and ability to lift/pull/push weights.
- Potential exposure to hazardous materials.
- Wearing personal protective equipment is mandatory.
