Overview
Join us as a Summer Intern and be part of making a difference. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Microbiology and Molecular Biology Research Intern at the Kennedy Space Center, FL. This full-time temporary position (approximately 10 weeks) will involve supporting microbiology and molecular biology research laboratories, with some involvement in horticulture areas.

Required Qualifications / Skills
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program leading to a bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
- Knowledge of chemistry laboratory techniques, equipment, and processes.
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
Desired Qualifications / Skills
- Biological and microbiological lab techniques.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
- Provide support in the microbiology and molecular biology labs.
- Work with scientists to collect and process samples and data.
- Support the Plant Processing Area (PPA) as assigned.
