Position: DEL & Protein Sciences Internship
Location: San Francisco
Position Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Scientist to join Nurix’s DEL & Protein Sciences team. The successful candidate will be involved in protein production efforts to support biochemical, biophysical and structural projects, with a focus on enhancing a high-throughput protein expression screening platform.
Responsibilities:
- Running and improving a high-throughput protein expression screening platform
- Supporting biochemical, biophysical, and structural efforts
- Potential opportunity to work with DNA Encoded Library technology
- Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team of scientists
- Presenting findings to the project team
Rate & Duration
Pay rate: $25/hr
Minimum of 20h per week, ideally 40h per week.
Required Qualifications
- Enrollment in Undergraduate degree program in Biophysics, Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology or related field
- Good understanding of protein overexpression and purification techniques
- Previous laboratory experience
- Ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in related field
- Interest in platform automation and screening assays
- Hands-on experience with high-throughput protein expression
- General knowledge in relevant scientific fields
