Hours: Full-Time Hours expected during Summer Internship – 1st Shift
Time Frame: 10 Weeks
OK Foods is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Research and Development Internship program during Summer 2021. We are looking for a highly driven individual that is interested in gaining exposure to the day-to-day operations of an R&D department in the Poultry Industry. Whether you are looking for college credit or a real working experience in your industry of choice, we may have an opportunity for you!

Qualifications – To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience – Current junior or senior level college student preferred in good standing working towards a four year bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Biology, Poultry Science, or Food Science majors preferred, but not required. Cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 point scale preferred.
Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability – Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Spreadsheet software; Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to qualify for the company’s driver program.
