Job Description:
As a Technical Sales Representative at Nalco Water, you will be joining our industry-leading sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to drive revenue and profit growth through the development of programs and services in targeted accounts. Using a consultative sales approach, you will build relationships with existing customers, execute system assurance programs, and meet their key business needs. You will also convert strategic competitive accounts and introduce new technologies to our current customers.

Responsibilites:
- Generate and execute sales plans in existing and competitively-held accounts to meet profit increase goals
- Work closely with customers to understand their business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders within customer organizations
- Provide technical support, identify and resolve customer challenges, and escalate issues when necessary
- Analyze systems, interpret data, and provide written recommendations to ensure optimal customer operations
- Sell and support Nalco Water innovations and technology to promote long-term business relationships
Territory/Location Information:
- Position based in
- Territory covers approximately radius of the surrounding area
- Targeted accounts are within industries
- overnight travel required
At Nalco Water, we are committed to your success and provide extensive training programs to ensure you are equipped to solve any customer problem. Training programs are held both in the field and at our headquarters in Naperville, IL. Travel expenses are arranged and covered by Nalco Water. Topics covered include technology, product, service, business and industry acumen, coaching and mentoring, sales management and leadership, classroom training, and certifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Five years of technical sales or field sales support experience
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Immigration sponsorship is not available for this role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry, etc.)
- Experience in water treatment or specialty chemical industry
- Working knowledge of <boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems> OR
